The Calusa Herpetological Society
Of Southwest Florida

Thursday, June 1, 20177:00 pm

SPEAKER & TOPIC: Tonight's speaker is Jason Bader of Southwest Florida Reptile Rescuers, Inc. Jason will discuss researching to find the right pet, and a look at proper husbandry to avoid the need for rehabilitation. He will bring some animals he has nursed back to health.

Jason has been working with reptiles for over 20 years. He and his wife started the rescue in an effort to help neglected reptiles and to educate reptile owners. They rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome reptiles, amphibians and arachnids. Since they opened their doors in 2015, they have saved 180 reptiles.

As always, we will be going out to dinner after the meeting at Stevie Tomatoes (Just west of I-75 on Daniels on the north side of the street). See you there!

WHO'S INVITED ? You are! Anyone with an interest in any aspect of herpetology or herpetoculture is welcome to attend, learn, and exchange their experiences with our friendly membership. Come out to meet others who keep, breed or study reptiles and amphibians, and let them share their fascination with you. We average 15 – 35 people attending every meeting.

Cookies and cold soda, a nightly raffle of live herps, herp products, and books follow each speaker's talk, and lots of herp camaraderie, gossip, and fun can be counted upon at all meetings !
