Thursday, December 2, 2010 - 7:00 pm
SPEAKER & TOPIC : Our club president Shane Johnson will present a PowerPoint slideshow tonight on "Exploring the American West". Emphasis will be on his and son Tyler's fieldherping experiences throughout the Great Basin and Mojave Deserts, including a general overview of the ecology and natural history of these areas. It will also touch on areas within the Colorado Plateau and Pacific Northwest. There’ll be oodles of pictures showing the adventures and live herp finds, letting you feel like you were out there indulging in the fun with them.
WHO'S INVITED ? You are! Anyone with an interest in any aspect of herpetology or herpetoculture is welcome to attend, learn, and exchange their experiences with our friendly membership. Come out to meet others who keep, breed or study reptiles and amphibians, and let them share their fascination with you. We average 35 – 70 people attending every meeting.
Cookies and cold soda, a nightly raffle of live herps, herp products, and books follow each speaker's talk, and lots of herp camaraderie, gossip, and fun can be counted upon at all meetings !
